"This is an interactive-essay-meets-walking-sim about technocapitalism and the things we lost along the way. Follow coins under the electric mist of a clouded starry sky. Discover hyper-links. Listen to the words both inside and outside your head. Seal your fate before the productivity machine."

I just published this interactive essay.
This was meant to be preformed in a live setting but it's not a good fit, so it transformed into an interactive essay format. Please enjoy the narration and ambient vibe. :)
My previous "From monopolies to tiny tools by solo devs" talk was based on the work I initially did for this.

I'm really proud of it! It's a strange surreal backrooms liminal-space horror experience about technocapitalism, techfeudalism, the philosophies in our digital world that we need to keep alive as tech keeps evolving... The role our individuality (as individual creators and participants) has under the thumb of an ever shifting tech landscape.

I'm mildly humored that it's made in Unreal with all the latest bells and whistles. Here's this anti-capitalist commentary that's made for next-gen hardware with the graphics enhancements necessary to boast good lighting and reflection.
After all, good dramatic lighting is important if you are criticizing "The Machine".

I don't really have much more to say about it because I think it pretty much speaks for itself.
Either way, there's not much to lose (other than your time). It's free!

(Right now I'm trying to see if I can get "building from Windows to Linux" working with Unreal so I can publish a Linux version later. I hope! No harm in trying.)
